# The Story of Shirkhan

If you've spent any time on masih.info, you've probably noticed someone important reviewing every page before it goes live.

That someone is Shirkhan.

Just kidding. He's my lovely dog.

How Shirkhan Came Into My Life

Shirkhan was born on a winter night, just a few days after my birthday. He was one of nine siblings, and honestly, I don't know exactly what happened or how it came to be that Shirkhan stayed and eventually became our dog.

Each of his siblings had their own story. They all went their separate ways and started their own lives.

Shirkhan, however, came into mine.

He was calm, patient, and kind — almost exactly like me.

Caty, Shirkhan's First Friend

Caty was Shirkhan's first friend.

I've written about her before on Shirkhan's gallery, where you can also find some of her photos. She was a girl full of pure love and one of the most emotional dogs I have ever known.

Tragically, Caty passed away in an accident.

As Shirkhan's first friend, she was more than just a companion. She was almost like a big sister to him, teaching him things about life that no one else could have taught him.

We miss her dearly.

The Routine Shirkhan Gave Me

Shirkhan brought something unexpected into my life: a sense of routine.

Almost every day, because of him, we'd go to the forest together and spend time outside.

Spring, summer, autumn, winter.

Snow, rain, river water, long walks, the sound of dry autumn leaves beneath our feet, or the feeling of fresh spring grass.

Morning, afternoon, or night.

It didn't really matter.

As long as we were together, every walk had its own feeling.

Among all the good moments we've shared, there is one night I remember especially well.

It was sometime around midnight, and it was snowing. We went to the forest together and walked through the snow in the middle of the night.

It was one of those nights that felt completely different from everything else. It's difficult to put that feeling into words, but it has stayed with me ever since.

Calm Like Sunshine, Fierce Like a Storm

Shirkhan reminds me of a sunny day with a few fluffy clouds floating peacefully across the sky.

Most of the time, he's calm, gentle, and incredibly patient.

But if he ever feels threatened or hurt, everything changes.

That peaceful sky can suddenly turn into a storm — and once the storm begins, there isn't much that can stop it.

What Shirkhan Has Taught Me

I've learned a lot from Shirkhan, but one of the most important things is something I think almost everyone who has a dog can understand:

You don't always need words to express how you feel.

Dogs can't speak our language, but somehow they can communicate emotions more clearly than words ever could.

From Shirkhan, I've learned the meaning of companionship.

He's taught me that sometimes being there is enough.

No matter what road we're on, what the circumstances are, or how difficult the day might be, he's still there.

Sometimes he simply lies down beside me, takes a deep breath, and stays.

And somehow, that's all I need.

Our Story Continues

Our journey together is still going.

There are still more walks, more forests, more quiet nights, more unexpected adventures, and probably many more stories waiting to happen.

And if there are more stories worth telling, I'll write about Shirkhan again.

For now, this is just a small part of our story.
